State of the Break - Early August Update

Hello, Backers!

This is just a brief check-in to remind everyone of the revised timeline for Charging Cards as outlined in last month's update. 

Charging Cards Revised Timeline

Shipping rates should now be set in Backerkit. With that in mind here are two important dates to be aware of that are coming around the corner quickly:

Monday, August 14th, 2023 - Lock Orders and Shipping Info

Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 - Charge Cards

Please make sure all of your information is input with your current billing and shipping information. 

I have not seen any other questions that have come up between now and the aforementioned dates but I'm keeping an eye out and will endeavor to address all I can before card charges go through and we'll provide furthers update from there as needed.

Keep an eye out for more important updates between now and then too...

State of the Break - July Update

Hello, Backers!

My sincerest apologies for the late update and delays. I know many have reached out with frustration on the delays and I'm trying to work through to make sure everyones questions and comments are addressed.

I've finally been able to correct the Backerkit issue in regards to fulfillment rates and charging cards. Part of the issue was setting up the back-end was far more involved than I had originally anticipated and took  longer to set up while simultaneously trying to finalize the layout. That's entirely on me and struggling to manage both tasks in tandem but now that it is addressed we can move on to a new timeline! 

Shipping Rates and Revised Timeline

Shipping rates should now be set in Backerkit. With that in mind here are two important Backerkit dates to keep in mind:

 Monday, August 14th, 2023 - Lock Orders and Shipping Info

 Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 - Charge Cards

In addition to this, here is a revised timeline for the project as it stands.

What about the digital download?

Before reaching the charging cards point, we'll be releasing the full Tidebreak PDF and Digital VTT Pack. As I'm running behind, the rest of the team is doing some last minute QA and review. As soon as that's done you'll be getting a download link to your email registered with Backerkit to access your rewards.

Will this affect shipping and fulfillment rates?

No. The rates previously provided (and shown below) will remain unchanged.

If it's ready, why not charge cards now?

Because of the delays, shipping information and circumstances for some may have changed. This should give everyone a little over two weeks in order to make sure all of their information is set for when we get ready for physical shipping and fulfillment.

Will I be able to play as soon as the Digital Downloads are ready?

Yes! The digital downloads will include In Other Waters: Tidebreak and the Digital version of the Oceanographer's Kit, allowing for full VTT play as soon as it's downloaded.

Any other questions that come up between now and the aforementioned dates I'll endeavor to address before card charges and we'll provide furthers update from there as needed.

Summary

I know this has been said already but I cannot apologize enough for the delays on my end. Cannot stress enough that I have a great team working behind me that have been equally as patient as our backers and I would like to thank everyone involved for understanding as I catch up on work for Tidebreak.

I have a few remaining DMs and Comments that need answering so if I haven't gotten to you yet, I am working my way through the list and will get to you as soon as possible.

Hello, Backers!

Apologies for the late update. I (Lone) have been running into an issue with some of the data importing in Backerkit in regards to fulfillment rates and charging cards. 

This will not affect shipping rates but is delaying charging of cards and finalizing the files for digital distribution.

I know you are all eagerly awaiting the arrivial of In Other Waters: Tidebreak and I cannot apologize enough for the delays on my end. So I will endeavor to have an update for you as soon as I have more concrete info and a more accurate timeline in place.

Hello, Backers!

Brief update in regards to fulfillment rates and charging cards through Backerkit.

Sorry for the late update. I recently got sick again and that threw off my timelines and work schedule. Fortunately it was mild and not Covid again so I'm back on top of Tidebreak. 

That in mind, here's an update in regards to fulfillment rates and charging cards through Backerkit as promised in our last update. This is current for all regions, including EU/UK which were not previously covered.

In order to ensure that you have ample time to make any adjustments needed, we’re going to update our timeline for charging cards as follows:

• Digital preview early May, Including Digital files and VTT Assets
• Lock order details and charge cards by Tuesday, May 16th, 2023

You will be able to adjust your pledge through Backerkit all the way up until the end of the day on the 16th. If you have any outstanding questions for this, please feel free to work with Backerkit or to message us here on Kickstarter and we'll get to your questions as soon as possible.

State of the Break - March Update Pt. 1

Hello Backers!

Brief update in regards to fulfillment rates and charging cards through Backerkit.

After recently going back and forth with our logistics and fulfillment partner to try and improve rates, we're looking for shipping alternatives for some areas – specifically EU/UK, Norway, and Switzerland – as the rates were unacceptable for these regions (~$46 USD for the base, Zine-only package, higher for the Oceanographer's kit). 

We are still in the midst of coming up with an alternative for shipping to those regions and will have another update as soon as we have that information.

However, we have set and finalized rates for the following regions. If you need to adjust your pledges with these new rates, please take your time to do so! We will not be locking orders until we're ready to charge cards.

This will adjust our timeline for charging cards and, of course, as soon as we know the final details for this, we will update you with that information. 

Rough timeline that we're aiming for is: 

• Fulfillment rate update end of this week/early next week
• Digital preview early April
• Lock order details and charge cards by April 15th, 2023
